Chaotic Underworld's
goal is to seek out, produce, and distribute the independent artists within
the south east region, particularly the realm of east Tennessee, western
North Carolina, and south west Virginia. We intend to release music that
is progressive and experimental in any form or fashion. We will not be
the whores of trends or give in to popular belief of what most people
expect out of music simply to sell CDs. We are also not art yuppies tryin to come off as elitist so we can sit around and talk about how
fuckin creative we are. What we want to accomplish is exposure of the
basement tape world in the south through our eyes and present it for
those whom are interested.
Presently we are a non-profit
organization composed of the artists, our community, and the founders of
Chaotic Underworld. We hope to operate this way for a while to maintain
our innocence and integrity in the face of the corporate music and art.
All CDs are priced at cost and all residual income goes back into the
label to fund forthcoming projects. Simply, we are a collection of
hearts that care about the direction of music in this stagnant age of
commercial whores. All that we can ask is that you take the time to
strip away your conventional ideas of art and listen to what we have to
say.
